Cecilia from your office recently found my family an apartment on the upper east side. Because we found Cecilia very helpful, I asked her for your email address in order to provide some brief feedback on the service she provided. I have a couple of quick points to make.
- Cecilia was unfailingly polite, courteous and reasonable. She was always on time and she responded quickly to emails etc.
- She listened to what we were looking for. Initially, when we started looking (through craigslist etc), we were shown properties by half a dozen real estate agents. We soon discarded them because they tried to fob us off with unsuitable places and wasted our time in looking at apartements that were blatantly wrong. Cecilia did not do this; she only showed us places that were worthwhile looking at and we quickly trusted her judgement.
- Cecilia talked through the pros and cons of each place; she didn''t treat us like idiots and just try the ''hard sell''. She was knowledgeable and professional.
- Even if she thought we were being difficult, she never let on!
- I''ve recommended Cecilia to a colleague.

As most New York apartment hunters are aware of, craigslists is basically a haven for liars. I told Jennifer I had one day to look for apartments. She had six or seven ready for me to view and we found a gem no-fee apartment over an hour or two. She was professional and honest the entire process. For me, this was a painfree experience over what is typically the worst part about living in New York. I definitely recommend apartment hunting through her. -Barry

This past month Mirela Anderson helped me find a studio apartment on the upper west side. She really went above and beyond throughout the process - while I was looking and then also during the lease process.
I am leaving medical school housing and this is my first time looking for an apartment in the city - I couldn''t imagine it having gone more smoothly. We worked with Ben during our relocation from California to New York do to a job change. Thinking about the process of trying to find a place to live in Manhattan was a little intimidating; however Ben made this process as easy as possible. We discussed the neighborhoods with Ben we thought would fit our lifestyle best and Ben did all of the research on the apartment buildings for us. - Firstly, Mirela was extremely attentive, by listening to exactly what we wanted in order to help us find our dream apartment. In a matter of a week she brought us to places that fit our budget, as well as the size, layout and neighborhood we were looking for. (Note: This was not my experience with three other brokers that I have used in the neighborhood here on the upper west side).
After we had chosen the apartment that fit all of our criteria, not only did Mirela go the extra mile and negotiate a price that would fit our budget, but also negotiated an earlier move in date without us being charged for it.
Even after the lease was signed she followed up to be sure that everything was in order, Move in date, having the proper info with the managment office, any other info regarding the apt. etc.,

I wanted to share with you the great experience my husband and I had with Mirela Anderson as our broker when we were looking for 1 bedroom on the upper east side. We contacted her mid-September and right away we knew we found someone who could help us.
Being pregnant, I had limited time and ability to walk all over Manhattan without the expertise of a broker.

I wanted to drop you a note to tell you what a wonderful experience I have had with your staff. I met Allen yesterday and we looked at apartments. I am moving from Chicago and have a very tight window for my move. I did not want to spend more then $2500 a month and was very disappointed in what I found. Joseph was one of the most helpful real estate brokers I have met in Manhattan. After moving here from California 2 years ago, I worked with my fair share of real estate brokers trying to find one I could trust, depend on, work efficiently, and be upfront and honest. Joseph represented all of those qualities and thus made our apartment search an efficient and effective process, rather than drawn out and stressful. Joseph actively listened to the apartment criteria I gave him in terms of location, size, and rent and only showed me apartments that met those criteria, to not waste our time or his. He always had our best interest in mind, which he continually reminded us of. After beginning to work with him my roommate and I quickly stopped working with anyone else, and within 1 week Joseph had found us a dream apartment. But even after that he continued to help us in any way possible in regards to signing the lease, arranging payment schedules, and finding us a great moving company. I have recommended him to others since then who have felt the same way and will continue to do so in the future.

I found his name while doing an on-line search and called and left a message. He returned my call immediately and we made an appointment the following week to look at some apartments. I had called a few other realtors that day as well, and none of them bothered to return my call. Joseph’s responsiveness and professionalism was much appreciated.
We talked about the size, neighborhood, and price range I was looking for and he said that he had several properties in mind for me.I was in town from Boston for only two days, so I didn’t have a lot of time to find a place. He was right on-time for the appointment at 2:00, and showed me several apartments, one in a lovely high rise in the area I had specified. The price was right, and it was a large room-just as we had talked about on the phone. He didn’t waste my time showing me places that weren’t a good fit. I chose an apartment I loved and we took a taxi over to his office to sign the paperwork.When we got there, he told me that someone else in his company had also put an application in for the same apartment. I was concerned, but said that I wanted to put ours in as well and see what happened. He agreed to do his very best to help me secure the unit I wanted. He was very resourceful and accommodating as he had to fax the appropriate paperwork to my husband in Boston and wait for his fax in return. I printed up bank statements, and arranged for a wire transfer of fees. He worked quickly to get all the documents in so we would have a better shot at getting the apartment. His attention to detail made a big difference. I left at 5:30 and hoped for the best. Joseph was in constant contact with me about the progress of the application over the next few days, and word finally came through that we got it! Most realtors would have moved on at that point, but Joseph went above and beyond to help with the transition. He hand delivered a letter to the doorman of the building regarding the date of my move, and made sure I knew the rules about booking the moving elevator in the building in advance, furnishing me with the contact phone number for the doorman. He also requested that they put blinds up in the unit before I moved in. The day of the move was stressful as the movers were late, but finally I was in the apartment unpacking my things and noticed that they had put the blinds up as Joseph requested. Just then my phone beeped with a new text. It was Joseph asking me how the move went. With so many other clients and responsibilities, I don’t know of any realtor who would have taken the time to check in with me like that.
If you are looking for a realtor who will give you the kind of service I describe above, Joseph is your man. He’s honest, reliable, and caring. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience!

Mirela Anderson recently acted as our broker and just wanted to say that she was the only broker we interacted with that actually listened to what we wanted and was truthful / straightforward, we had a lot of issues with other firms showing us places completely different than we were expecting (the old bait and switch...) and just plain wasting our time. I utilized Roman''s services whilst searching for an apartment in Manhattan a few months ago. This being the first time I had used a brokers services left me with a blank page as to professional expectation, level of service and follow up by the broker.
During my search I started off with three brokers and quickly downsized to one, Roman. The other brokers simply where not listening to my likes and dislikes and continued to waste my time by showing me properties that I had no interest in whatsoever and arriving late for appointments.
Roman was the consummate professional. He had done his research prior to meeting me, had floor plans available and insight into how flexible the management office was likely to be in the negotiations. He arrived on time at each appointment and thoroughly prepared. He was also extremely patient as I looked through every nook and cranny asking numerous questions about the apartment, building and surrounding neighborhood. We recently found a great brand new apartment on the upper east side thanks to the efforts of Mirela. Mirela made sure that she had access to the apartments and buildings she planned to show us ahead of time and did not waste our time. She knew the buildings very well and once she knew our taste she could tell us whether or not we would like an apartment without even going there. These things alone would provide for a very good broker, but Mirela went one step further. Once we had decided on an apartment, we discovered that the building had raised its application fee by $200. As a college student on a tight budget, but with high hopes of a dream midtown Manhattan apartment, I did not expect to have even half of my needs and requests met. My wife and I would like to compliment and commend one of your agents we had the opportunity of meeting and having him as our guide in showing us the studio apartment that we rented for our son, who will be living there working on a seasonal job with the New York Yankees. The agent I speak of is Joseph Haddad. Before coming to NYC we had an unpleasant experience online with a person purported to be a legitimate agent who wanted money sent to him by Western Union before we could be shown the apartment.......well, being a retired Police Chief of Detectives, it didn't take me long to determine he as a scam. My son had made contact with Joseph who told of a studio with amenities that sounded too good to be true.......and so when we made arrangements with Joseph to meet him on the street close to the studio.....I was apprehensive to say the least. I have to admit Idid a brief period of interrogation on Joseph and through it all he remained professional and courteous showing me all the documentation that verified his being an agent with Caliber. Joseph, we believe, is an asset to Caliber and certainly puts your name on the tip of our tongues to advise those who will travel to NYC in search of housing. Jackie was a real treat to work with. I've never dealt with a real estate agent this honest and I truly felt like she was really listening to what I wanted in an apartment. Caliber NYC was different than any other broker I worked with in the city. They weren't pushy at all, was very laid back, and allowed us to view the apartment and form our own unbiased opinion. Once we decided we liked the apartment, they moved very quickly, communicating everything in a patient manner, and made us feel that we were getting the best service possible. At one point, we weren't sure if we were going to get the apartment in time, and they assured us that no matter what, they would make sure we would find a great place. My room mates and I recently found the apartments of our dreams with the help of real estate agent Shai Gruber of Caliber Associates. We were a group of six girls that just graduated from college and were looking for a place for all six of us in the heart of the city. We had a tight budget but demanding requirements. Every broker we spoke to would end up frustrated, telling us that we would never find what we were looking for with our low budget. However, Shai and Caliber Associates were completely different. Cecilia from your office recently found my family an apartment on the upper east side. Because we found Cecilia very helpful, I asked her for your email address in order to provide some brief feedback on the service she provided. I have a couple of quick points to make.
- Cecilia was unfailingly polite, courteous and reasonable. She was always on time and she responded quickly to emails etc.
- She listened to what we were looking for. Initially, when we started looking (through craigslist etc), we were shown properties by half a dozen real estate agents. We soon discarded them because they tried to fob us off with unsuitable places and wasted our time in looking at apartements that were blatantly wrong. Cecilia did not do this; she only showed us places that were worthwhile looking at and we quickly trusted her judgement.
- Cecilia talked through the pros and cons of each place; she didn''t treat us like idiots and just try the ''hard sell''. She was knowledgeable and professional.
- Even if she thought we were being difficult, she never let on!
- I''ve recommended Cecilia to a colleague.

She had six or seven ready for me to view and we found a gem no-fee apartment over an hour or two. She was professional and honest the entire process. We worked with Ben during our relocation from California to New York do to a job change. Thinking about the process of trying to find a place to live in Manhattan was a little intimidating; however Ben made this process as easy as possible. - Firstly, Mirela was extremely attentive, by listening to exactly what we wanted in order to help us find our dream apartment. In a matter of a week she brought us to places that fit our budget, as well as the size, layout and neighborhood we were looking for. (Note: This was not my experience with three other brokers that I have used in the neighborhood here on the upper west side).

I wanted to drop you a note to tell you what a wonderful experience I have had with your staff. I met Allen yesterday and we looked at apartments. I am moving from Chicago and have a very tight window for my move. I did not want to spend more then $2500 a month and was very disappointed in what I found. I spent the morning working with a very young and unseasoned Realtor from another company and was very frustrated when I met up with Allen. I was having a very tough time finding a studio in a nice area in Manhattan for my budget, until I contacted Danny at Caliber NYC.

Joseph was one of the most helpful real estate brokers I have met in Manhattan. After moving here from California 2 years ago, I worked with my fair share of real estate brokers trying to find one I could trust, depend on, work efficiently, and be upfront and honest. Joseph represented all of those qualities and thus made our apartment search an efficient and effective process, rather than drawn out and stressful. Joseph actively listened to the apartment criteria I gave him in terms of location, size, and rent and only showed me apartments that met those criteria, to not waste our time or his. He always had our best interest in mind, which he continually reminded us of. After beginning to work with him my roommate and I quickly stopped working with anyone else, and within 1 week Joseph had found us a dream apartment. I am writing to express my appreciation for the efforts of one of your agents, Joseph Haddad. I was looking for a small studio to rent, as I am in NY on business frequently. I found his name while doing an on-line search and called and left a message. He returned my call immediately and we made an appointment the following week to look at some apartments. I had called a few other realtors that day as well, and none of them bothered to return my call. Joseph’s responsiveness and professionalism was much appreciated.
We talked about the size, neighborhood, and price range I was looking for and he said that he had several properties in mind for me.I was in town from Boston for only two days, so I didn’t have a lot of time to find a place. He was right on-time for the appointment at 2:00, and showed me several apartments, one in a lovely high rise in the area I had specified. The price was right, and it was a large room-just as we had talked about on the phone. He didn’t waste my time showing me places that weren’t a good fit. I chose an apartment I loved and we took a taxi over to his office to sign the paperwork.When we got there, he told me that someone else in his company had also put an application in for the same apartment. I was concerned, but said that I wanted to put ours in as well and see what happened. He agreed to do his very best to help me secure the unit I wanted. He was very resourceful and accommodating as he had to fax the appropriate paperwork to my husband in Boston and wait for his fax in return. I printed up bank statements, and arranged for a wire transfer of fees. He worked quickly to get all the documents in so we would have a better shot at getting the apartment. His attention to detail made a big difference. I left at 5:30 and hoped for the best. Joseph was in constant contact with me about the progress of the application over the next few days, and word finally came through that we got it! Most realtors would have moved on at that point, but Joseph went above and beyond to help with the transition. He hand delivered a letter to the doorman of the building regarding the date of my move, and made sure I knew the rules about booking the moving elevator in the building in advance, furnishing me with the contact phone number for the doorman. He also requested that they put blinds up in the unit before I moved in. The day of the move was stressful as the movers were late, but finally I was in the apartment unpacking my things and noticed that they had put the blinds up as Joseph requested. Just then my phone beeped with a new text. It was Joseph asking me how the move went. With so many other clients and responsibilities, I don’t know of any realtor who would have taken the time to check in with me like that.
If you are looking for a realtor who will give you the kind of service I describe above, Joseph is your man. He’s honest, reliable, and caring. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience!

Mirela Anderson recently acted as our broker and just wanted to say that she was the only broker we interacted with that actually listened to what we wanted and was truthful / straightforward, we had a lot of issues with other firms showing us places completely different than we were expecting (the old bait and switch...) and just plain wasting our time. I utilized Roman''s services whilst searching for an apartment in Manhattan a few months ago. This being the first time I had used a brokers services left me with a blank page as to professional expectation, level of service and follow up by the broker.
During my search I started off with three brokers and quickly downsized to one, Roman. The other brokers simply where not listening to my likes and dislikes and continued to waste my time by showing me properties that I had no interest in whatsoever and arriving late for appointments.
Roman was the consummate professional. He had done his research prior to meeting me, had floor plans available and insight into how flexible the management office was likely to be in the negotiations. He arrived on time at each appointment and thoroughly prepared. He was also extremely patient as I looked through every nook and cranny asking numerous questions about the apartment, building and surrounding neighborhood. Roman proved to be a wealth of information I was left with such a high impression of his overall professionalism that I have subsequently recommended another two friends to work with Roman as their broker of record.

We recently found a great brand new apartment on the upper east side thanks to the efforts of Mirela. "I would definitely recommend Mirela Anderson as a Real Estate Broker in New York City. Mirela made sure that she had access to the apartments and buildings she planned to show us ahead of time and did not waste our time. She knew the buildings very well and once she knew our taste she could tell us whether or not we would like an apartment without even going there. These things alone would provide for a very good broker, but Mirela went one step further. Once we had decided on an apartment, we discovered that the building had raised its application fee by $200. Since Mirela had told us the original amount already, she paid for the extra $200 out of her own pocket! As a college student on a tight budget, but with high hopes of a dream midtown Manhattan apartment, I did not expect to have even half of my needs and requests met. But Jackie is not your typical broker: what stands out at a first encounter is her warm personality, enthusiasm and genuine caring attitude. My wife and I would like to compliment and commend one of your agents we had the opportunity of meeting and having him as our guide in showing us the studio apartment that we rented for our son, who will be living there working on a seasonal job with the New York Yankees. The agent I speak of is Joseph Haddad. Before coming to NYC we had an unpleasant experience online with a person purported to be a legitimate agent who wanted money sent to him by Western Union before we could be shown the apartment.......well, being a retired Police Chief of Detectives, it didn't take me long to determine he as a scam. My son had made contact with Joseph who told of a studio with amenities that sounded too good to be true.......and so when we made arrangements with Joseph to meet him on the street close to the studio.....I was apprehensive to say the least. I have to admit Idid a brief period of interrogation on Joseph and through it all he remained professional and courteous showing me all the documentation that verified his being an agent with Caliber. Joseph, we believe, is an asset to Caliber and certainly puts your name on the tip of our tongues to advise those who will travel to NYC in search of housing. Jackie was a real treat to work with. I've never dealt with a real estate agent this honest and I truly felt like she was really listening to what I wanted in an apartment. Caliber NYC was different than any other broker I worked with in the city. They weren't pushy at all, was very laid back, and allowed us to view the apartment and form our own unbiased opinion. Once we decided we liked the apartment, they moved very quickly, communicating everything in a patient manner, and made us feel that we were getting the best service possible. At one point, we weren't sure if we were going to get the apartment in time, and they assured us that no matter what, they would make sure we would find a great place. I would highly recommend working with Ross Kaplan from Caliber Associates for an apartment broker.He was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process of finding an apartment and then signing the lease. I was only in town for a short time to apartment hunt, but he managed to schedule out a whole day to help me look for something that fit my price range, area, and size. After that, he was in constant contact with me in regards to any other paperwork and the current status of our application. And in addition, he did all that he could minimize the broker''s fee involved. If I were to need another broker in the future, I would definitely choose Ross again.

Finding an apt in Manhattan can be a very trying and arduous process. Caliber NYC was very professional and patient, not pressuring me to take a place I didn't actually like. They stayed in constant contact with me until I found an apt - updating me as to new places on the market and other impt item I needed to be aware of.Caliber turned a potential nightmare of an apt hunt into a painless and easy process.

I cannot begin to convey my gratitude to Shai Gruber and Caliber Associates for helping me find an apartment in Manhattan. Before switching to Caliber, my roommate and I made the regretful choice of utilizing a major, yet deservedly unmentionable, real estate brokerage firm. The differences were stark. My Caliber broker facilitated nearly every aspect of the leasing process and found us an apartment with which we were more than happy. He was attentive to detail, knowledgeable, but most importantly, he showed the utmost loyalty to my interests. So often, the incentives are on the broker to pressure you to sign a lease quickly and out of your price range. But Shai at Caliber epitomizes everything one hopes for in hiring a real estate broker. In short, we were in a crunch and Caliber came through. If you use anyone else, you''re making a poor decision.

My room mates and I recently found the apartments of our dreams with the help of real estate agent Shai Gruber of Caliber Associates. We were a group of six girls that just graduated from college and were looking for a place for all six of us in the heart of the city. We had a tight budget but demanding requirements. Every broker we spoke to would end up frustrated, telling us that we would never find what we were looking for with our low budget. However, Shai and Caliber Associates were completely different. Shai showed us a beautiful building and maintained a positive attitude from day one.We had actually contacted the same building ourselves but were told there were no availabilities. The entire search process took more than two months but Shai constantly remained in touch with us, providing us with constant updates and progress. With Shai''s help, we were able to get something we thought would be impossible: all of six us of are together in a beautiful building in midtown Manhattan, paying rent that is well below our budget. We highly recommend that anyone looking to move to Manhattan should contact Shai and Caliber Associates.
